Do you ever feel like you brain just doesn’t work? Like you are walking in a fog?
Sometimes life can be a little overwhelming. Although we may have days like that, we can be confident that the Lord knows exactly where we are. Not only does he know where we are but he is in control. If we trust in his strength we can make it through the fog.
I know for myself sometimes I just get so frustrated and just want to cry. I know that it is just one of those days and this too will pass. One of the best ways to get back on track is through God’s word. (Psalm 119:105, “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.”) God’s word can always direct us in the direction we need to go. (Proverbs 3:5-6, “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. 6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”)
Trying to do thing on our own can cause more frustration and makes us blind to the things God has for us. Everything that comes in our path is there for a purpose. If we are seeking the Lord he will show us the purpose for all things in our life. Not only do we get frustrated, but we stop looking up and we fall. We don’t have to stumble and fall. (Psalm 116:8 “For thou hast delivered my soul from death, mine eyes from tears, and my feet from falling.”) The Lord is always there to hold us up to keep us from falling or to pick us up when we fall.
As I am writing these I remember a conversation I had just yesterday with a Senior Lady I picked up for Church. I had picked her up because she was not ready when the bus came to get her. She was making a comment about the bus coming too early and she was not ready. I stated that I get up early every day and get ready as soon as I get up. She could not believe that someone could get up so early and get ready on time. (Let me insert here that she is only my senior my a few years. She is in her early 60’s.) Her frustration with not being ready and her own admittance that she was lazy and doesn’t usually get up early in the morning was causing her to be in a fog.
We make a chose on how our day will go. I chose to get up early and start the day with the Lord. Even with having this daily routine there are days that I wish I could hit rewind and start again with a better result. No matter what comes our way, we have to just Trust the Lord!!
