Parker Inspirations

My thoughts have haunted me for a few days over an incident that is minor but could potentially be major. You see little girls, someday will grow into ladies. Our job is to help them become the lady God would have them be. Many times I am telling little girls to put their legs down, and remind them they have a dress on. Ladies do not put their legs up. I know I appreciate all who helped my two girls to be the Ladies they are today.

That being said let me get back to my haunted thoughts. As is my manner I told a little girl to put her legs down. What happened next is what makes be afraid. The mom stated that it was okay, that is why she puts leggings on her. The look my husband had said it all. I have not been able to set that aside. You see my fear is based on the fact that with or without leggings on, you can see between their legs. For a man who likes child porn that is enough to get their minds thinking in areas I don’t want for any little girl.

Anyone can look upright and even serve the Lord and be doing child porn. We don’t know who they are, so we should not give them anything that would promote those thoughts. Our job is to teach these little girls to take pride in their bodies and hide those areas from few. Several verses come to mind. (Psalms 101:3, “I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes: I hate the work of them that turn aside; it shall not cleave to me.) Not only should we not look at anything wicked, we should not place anything in someone else’s view that could be use wickedly.  (1 Thessalonians 5:22, “Abstain from all appearance of evil.)

Two verses state that uncovering the thigh is showing your nakedness. (Exodus 28:42, “And thou shalt make them linen breeches to cover their nakedness; from the loins even unto the thighs they shall reach:)  (Isaiah 47:2-3, “Take the millstones, and grind meal: uncover thy locks, make bare the leg, uncover the thigh, pass over the rivers.³ Thy nakedness shall be uncovered, yea, thy shame shall be seen: I will take vengeance, and I will not meet thee as a man.) Girls today show off way to much of their bodies. We need to teach them to be pure and preserve their bodies for marriage.

I believe in this day and age we need to be more vigilant and teach our children to be the best they can be. How they sit, how they talk, and how they dress. Teaching them that all things should be done to God’s honor and Glory.
