Holding on to Things

Regrets are dark clouds that block out the sunshine of God’s love.

Today will soon be over and Tomorrow is not guaranteed. What happened yesterday cannot be redone. I have learned that if we do not make the best of Today there will always be regrets in the tomorrows. We need to come together and enjoy the moment we are living in.

James 4:14 “Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow.

For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little

time, and then vanisheth away.”

We could make all kinds of excuses, but they are just that excuses. I remember right before Mom graduated to Heaven, she told me that she wished she would have been more forgiving and spent more time with family. She spent so much time and energy being angry. She was afraid that some of them would not even be at her funeral because she was so angry at them. I remember seeing the tears in her eyes and she shared that with me. I do not want to have any regrets.

Recently I had a cousin who is about the same age as my brothers who passed away of Cancer. We do not know when our time here will be over. We need to do everything we can to make the best of every moment we are here. It is so sad that we do not see all this until we get older. Think of all the time we have lost during those moments we let things get to us. How many blessings have we missed out on?

Nineteen times in the New Testament the Lord commands us to Love one another. I have learned that if the Lord repeats something over and over then it is really important. So, let us love one another and not let circumstances get in the way. Let us make today better than yesterday. No Regrets!
