“Never be afraid to trust and unknown future to a known God.” Corrie ten Boom
The future is a blank slate for us, but God already knows what will happen. My favorite verses are found in Proverbs 3:5-6, “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart: and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” When we trust God he will direct us on the right path. We don’t have to take detours when we trust Him. He already knows what is ahead.
Over the past few months I have had perfect peace in our future. I do not know what is ahead, but I trust God that it is going to be great. I can trust that it is great because of another favorite verse in Jeremiah 29:11, “ For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” God thinks good of us, so the expected end will be great. Holding to the truths of God’s word makes going forward into the future exciting.
Every day I am praying for God’s direction. I do not want to miss which way to go because I am doing my own thing. If we don’t pray and seek what the Lord has for us, we will never get everything He has for us. God is the giver of everything. He has so much He wants to give to us as His children. All He wants us to do is keep our eyes on Him and keeping going forward.
He will open the door for us to go through. He opened the Red Sea and the Children of Israel went forward on dry land. God protected them from Pharaoh. He is still the same today and will take care of us. He will supply all our needs. Philippians 4:19, “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” God is in Control.
