Is God doing nothing? He is if you are saved and you do nothing. God did not save us just so we can go to Heaven. After we learn about the Lord, we tell others, who tell others, who tell others and so on. The world cannot know the Lord without being told. The way they hear and be saved is if we tell them.

God uses us to make a difference in the world. The bad things that happen are a result in sin. The help God sends is us. (Matthew 28:19) God is doing something when we do what he has called us to do. Not only does he use us to tell others, but we can be used in other areas of life. A Mom loses a child, a child loses his parents, a friend is diagnosed with cancer, someone is struggling spiritually, and you fill in the blank.

God puts all the different situations in our path so He can do something through us. We are God’s mouth, we are His hands, and we are his feet. God has a purpose for each of us. We have to seek the Lord and follow his direction in all we do. When we are faced with a situation, he will give us the wisdom and the tools necessary to accomplish his will in that situation.

Yielding to the Holy Spirit and helping others is God’s way of doing something about the bad things that come in life. Doing unto the least of these, which is all the situations that cross our path.  When we do that we are doing it unto the Lord. God could do it all just my speaking it, like he did with creation. He chose to use you and me. We make the decision to serve him, and He receives the Honor and Glory.

Matthew 24:40, “And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.”
