What is your Purpose?

2 Timothy 1:9

Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,

Many times, people do not want to tell their age and I tell them, “You were born when God wanted you to be born for a purpose.” We all have a purpose given to us by God. We are to find that purpose and fulfill it.

When we are seeking God’s direction and purpose for our lives, we are doing it for the Lord. If we do what we want and disregard others we are serving our selfishness. If we do it to receive praise of men, we are taking God out.   Ephesus 6:7, “With good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men:” Everything we do should be to the Lord.

Most importantly we are to seek God and find what he would have us do. We can not do anything without God. When we try, we fail. When we do it through Christ we are strengthened. Anything we do on our own, we are being selfish and arrogant. God created us and we make a choice to do it his way or our way. His way is the better way.

Having a daily walk with God is our number one priority. Do you know what your purpose is? Are you seeking God daily to find out? Remember, God has a purpose for you.
