Jeremiah 20:9, “Then I said, I will not make mention of him, nor speak any more in his name. But his word was in mine heart as a burning fire shut up in my bones, and I was weary with forbearing, and I could not stay.”

Have you ever wanted to tell someone something so bad that you felt like you would just burst? The people did not listen to Jeremiah, so he tried not to say anything. However, the word burned like a fire, and he could not stay quiet. We should be that way with God’s word. We should have it burn within us so much that we can not be silent.

As we walk with the Lord and grow in his word, there should be a burning to share with those around us. The more we learn the more we want to share. The more we share the more of our world we can reach. We can not let circumstances and people quench the fire. It should be like a forest fire spreading and spreading, trying to reach the world completely.

We have a world that sometimes, seems as though they do not want to listen. We can not let those who do not want to listen stop us. There are still people who want to know for sure they are going to Heaven. We have the good news. We need to keep the fire raging and keep working at telling others about the Lord. If we let the fire grow, it will touch someone else, who will then touch someone else, and so on.

We are in the last days. Time is running out. Now is the time to stoke the fire and let it burn hotter and hotter.
