Live up to God’s Expectation

People have expectations, and often think things should have happened in a certain order or at a certain time, but we are not responsible for their disappointments. Do not apologize for following your own path. As long as we do our best to live our lives in a way that is pleasing to the Lord, we do not owe anyone any apology.

Often I have found that trying to live up to others’ expectations or make assumptions of what they think, only makes us miserable. At those times we stop looking to the Lord and his strength. We cannot look at what others may or may not think. We need to pray and seek the Lord first.

Think about Joshua every time he did not pray and seek the Lord something bad happened. When they went to Ai the first time he did not pray and ask God for direction. He went on his own assumption of the city and the victory he just went through with Jericho. Had he prayed first he would have found out about Achan and his sin. Lives would have been saved had he prayed first.

Then you have the people of Gibeon who convenience Joshua that they came from a far country, when they were from next door. If he would have prayed and asked God for direction the outcome would have been different.

So, the best way to be Happy and not have to apologize to others, is we should seek God first, pray for his direction and everything will work out according to Gods will.
