Many of us know the story of the Fiery Furnace and can tell the story. I found something really interesting today in my Bible reading. In the story the King makes a command that when you hear the music you bow down to the image. What I found interesting was verse 8 of chapter 3, “Wherefore at that time certain Chaldeans came near, and accused the Jews.”
The men came forth and accused the Jews of not bowing down. If everyone is suppose to be bowing down, how would they know that others were not bowing. They were accusing them of not obeying, yet they were just as much at fault.
Many times this is true today. The question is why accuse someone of wrong. The first reason is they are doing wrong and by accusing someone else it makes them look good. Another reason may be they do not like that person and this is a way of getting them in trouble. Both reasons are wrong.
Pastor says, “It’s never right to do wrong to do right”. We can justify things and make it seem like we are doing right, but wrong is wrong.
