Every day is a new day with no mistakes in it, yet. Yesterday, is filled with lost of things that need to stay in the past. When we dwell on the yesterdays we are allowing buttons to be pushed that just get us down.

I recently had a situation that I was letting get me down. Every moment I was down the devil was having a victory dance. I knew I needed to overcome what I was going through. I talked to a wise friend and she helped to see things from a different perspective.

There is always going to be people and things that are used to get us, to take our eyes off of God. When we dwell on those things we are looking at things darkly. When we seek the Lord and look to the light of his word we are over comers. In Proverbs 23:7a “For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he:” we are reminded that if we think on something long enough, we begin to act on those things.

At the judgment the only one we will stand before is God himself. What I do for him here and now is what will matter then. If I let the devil push my buttons and give up then what will I have for God. I have to remember my purpose is to please God only. I have to continue to just do what God wants me to do.

We cannot do anything about how others are. We can make sure we are doing what we are suppose to do. Read our Bibles more, Pray more, go soul winning and be faithful to Church. Let God take care of everything else.
