It has been said through the ages that certain people are religious because of the way they dress or act. Sometimes this statement is from an ideology of one’s own opinion because of what they see and think of another person. If you have never talked to someone and you make an assumption of them based only on what you see, that is not a fair judgement. Until you know someone by talking to them, you cannot make an assumption of what they believe. Many good people dress a certain way and do really great things, but that doesn’t make them religious people. Some good people never go to Church, never do anything that is related to a religion.
One of the human flaws is making a judgment of someone without really knowing that person. Look all around us. America is a melting pot of many nations and many different cultures and religions that teach them how to dress, how to act and how to talk to others. The eyes are a deception of truth. Getting to know someone is truth.
Sometimes people do not want to get to know someone and find out the truth because they are angry at life. Mankind thrives on thinking negatively about others to make themselves justified in their own behavior. Kindness is a thing of the past for many people today. Whatever happened to the phrase, “Treat others the way you want to be treated” ? Better yet what about, “If you can’t say anything nice, don’t saying anything at all”?
The bottom line of most of what is said or done to others is anger toward life. Life is not going the direction they think it should be, so let’s drag others down and make their life miserable too. Angry people find things wrong with everything and everyone. What they don’t see is that they are the only ones who can change their direction in life. Everything that happens in life is because of the choices that are made. No one can make someone do something. That decision is entirely on them if they choose to do what someone else is trying to get them to do.
Every aspect of life is a choice. What to wear, what to drink or eat, what direction to go when you go out. Everything is a decision. From the time they get up in the morning until they pillow their head at night, every decision is their own.
So, “Don’t judge a book by it cover” what is on the inside may or may not be what you think. Get to know someone, be kind, let go of the anger and bitterness. Life is too short to dwell on such negative things. Go out and smell the roses, enjoy the Sunshine and wear a smile. Today is the only day you are guaranteed. Tomorrow may never come. Live life Be Happy!!!
